WRITE A NOVEL IN A MONTH

As many of you know. the National Novel Writing (NANO) month begins in November. For those unfamiliar with the tradition, writers sign up and commit to writing 50,000 words (or more) in one month.  It is a really good way to motivate yourself to sit down and write every day.

Last Tuesday night, Deb McNeill, one of Trinity Writer’s Workshop’s valued members. presemted an excellent class how best to survive National Novel Writing Month with your sanity
intact. As she told all class attendees, kickstart your creativity with NaNoWriMo 2011.

Deb is a published magazine author, as well as a past contributing feature writer to newspapers. She has participated madly in NaNoWriMo since 2008. She is a Christian, photographer, writer, gardener, nature trail hiker and Texas Ranger’s fan who makes a living as a real estate agent. Beneath the mild mannered mask of competent professional lays a creative heart filled with swirls of story, colorful images,  and a fiery blaze of creativity.

Deb is a wife to Tim since 1977, mom to Kevin and Nathan, mom-in-law to Lisa, and Happy to granddaughter Charlotte.

It is members like Deb that makes Trinity Writer’s Workshop such a great resource for the other writers who gravitate there. Check out her blog Creative Soul.

At Trinity Writers’ Workshop, we encourage our members to write and share their writing with other supportive members.  The groups’ critiques are a great help in the revision process. Another strategy we emphasize is submitting the writing projects for publication.

This is also why we sponsor seminars like the Marketing Your Writing Seminar with Chuck Sambuchino which will be held on November 5th at the Hampton Inn in Hurst, Texas.

Bringing his experience as an editor with Writers’ Digest and editor of the Guide to Literary Agents, Chuck will be sharing his marketing knowledge and experience and offering one-on-one advice to writers who are trying to get their projects published..  His blog is one of the more popular writing blogs on the internet. He also teaches at numerous writing conferences throughout the year.

My advice to anyone who has a completed writing project (or a work in progress) and is looking to get it published?  Reserve a seat at this seminar by signing up here. You can even get on the open-mike list to read your writing to the group and enjoy fifteen minutes of fame.

Chuck Sambuchino, editor with Writers’ Digest and editor of The Guide to Literary Agents will be presenting valuable marketing strategies for Fiction and Non-Fiction Writers. Chuck also has a popular blog Guide to Literary Agents.

This Seminar Will Include:
