RECASTING THE CLASSICS

Have any of you seen the re-make of Footloose, yet?

I haven’t but I’ve seen trailers and seen watched some of the dance scenes. I like Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid so I’ll probably watch it just because they are in it. But for me, Kevin Bacon will always be Ren McCormmac.

Anyway, thinking of this made me ponder who might be recast in some other favorite movies.

For example:

Could you see Brad Pitt and George Clooney filling Redford’s and Newman’s boots in Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid?

What about Sandra Bullock and Katherine Heigl in Thelma and Louise? Could they replace Sarandon and Davis?

Maybe Julia Roberts teaming with Daniel Craig in a remake of Bogie’s and Bacall’s roles in To Have and Have Not

Finally one of my faves, how about Gerard Butler and Scarlett Johansson in Top Gun

What do you think of my casting choices?

Want to make some of your own?

I’d love to hear from you.

One Response to RECASTING THE CLASSICS

  1. I remember when I watched the original Footloose. My Women’s Studies professor suggested it. I was in a transitional period in my life, and having a hard time respecting the old because I was so intoxicated by the new.
